Masonic Unity Council

 SUBJECT: Masonic Unity Council

Brethren,

The Masonic Unity Council has arranged to march in two parades in an effort to showcase our Great fraternity, and those members from Lodges throughout both Oneida and Herkimer, or whatever counties who are fortunate enough to be involved in this Grand Institution.

This united effort is aimed to remind the public (and ourselves) of the enormity and signifigence of Freemasonry. As so many Lodges struggle with declining Membership, this group effort could play a powerful influence and make a lasting impression to our communities, which include many men of character curious about Freemasonry, and their Ladies and children alike.

If possible, we hope all Lodges can bring the largest contingent of masons available to ride or march in these parades, but even if only five from each Lodge can attend we would still be eclipsing most every other Fraternal Group or organization involved in these events, as it should be.

Each of these endeavourers should consist of a group large enough to create at least a ONE HUNDRED MASON MARCH.

Remember, these are not events for any man, but for those who are worthy to belong to the worlds most ancient and honorable fraternity.

United with other Masons, we can rekindle the spirit of our craft, that SAME spirit and desire that helped so many of our Founders make the declaration to help form this great Republic. They were armed with those principles that we too have been fortunate enough to have been bestowed. Principles that, we as Freemasons, hold in the highest regard, and are obligated to not only uphold, but share with any, that we may encounter in our travels through Life.

Please forward this information to any an all members of our Craft, by whatever means possible (phone, E-mail, etc), and hope to see you all on either of these important occasions.

 SUBJECT:     Walk For Dyslexia

Greetings

The Central New York 32° Masonic Learning Center is a free afterschool program for children who are identified as dyslexic. We are currently helping fifteen children in our program using the Orton-Gillinham method to teach the necessary skills to help children with their reading and writing. The results have been amazing—just ask the children or their parents.

The Center is seeking your support for our annual walk for dyslexia this September 26, 2009. We seek participants in our walk as well as supporters for the program book we are developing.

Those who wish to participate by walking may obtain a brochure by contacting the Center via email at reception@ cny32learningctr.org, calling the Learning Center at 315-736-0574, or by contacting Craig Cobb at c.cobb@ieee.org or by phone at 315-446-0625.

If you would like to be a part of our program booklet, we would love to have you do so at the following rates:

Inside front, inside back, or outside back cover full page $125

Inside full page $100

Half page $60

Quarter page $40

Eighth page $25

Patron List $15

Checks should be made to CNY103-CLC. All proceeds less program expenses occurred go directly to the Center’s operational budget. All donations are tax deductible.

If you wish to participate as a sponsor, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible, but no later than August 1, 2009.

If you wish to organize a walking group or participate as a walker, we encourage you to join us on September 26th at our starting point (9:30 registration) at the Learning Center on the Eastern Star Home Campus, Oriskany, NY.

Sincerely, Board of Governors Central New York 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center
