Masons from Honolulu Lodge will once again assist Waikiki Outreach Ministries by feeding the homeless at Kapiolani beach park on Saturday, June 6th in the late afternoon. Those who can help with cooking should meet at Makiki Temple at 1pm, where pots of chili will be prepared then transported to Kapiolani beach park. If you can help serve the meals, please meet at the park just Diamond Head of the snack bar by 4:45pm; serving will commence at 5:15pm. Free parking may be found at the Waikiki Shell parking lot. There is also limited street parking along Kalakaua Avenue fronting the beach park. The event will end around 7:00pm.
Please contact brother Carl Richards II at tek4u909@hotmail.com if you can attend. At least 6 people are needed to assist with the cooking and 6-8 people are needed to help serve. Please let brother Carl know if you have a vehicle that can transport some of the food to the site. Masons from Honolulu Lodge last participated in this event in April of this year, also coordinated by brother Carl, in which over 60 needy people were fed. This is a wonderful and worthwhile project to help those who are not as fortunate as we.
