  History of Henry A. Greene Lodge

       The Formation of Henry A Greene No. 250 F & A.M., was a direct outgrowth of a Masonic Club organized at then Camp Lewis Washington, on November 2, 1921.
       Application was made to the Grand Lodge of Washington for a Charter to form a Masonic Lodge at Camp Lewis on February 20, 1922. the Club was Called to order and Right Worshipful Brother James McCormack, Deputy Grand  Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington instituted Henry A Greene, U. D. and installed the First officers to serve Lodge.

       The Name of the Lodge was Selected in honor of Major General Henry A. Greene , the First Commander of Camp Lewis, and a of Destiny Lodge No.197 of Tacoma Washington. Henry A Greene No. 250  was constituted on June 21, 1922, by then Grand Master, MW Brother James McCormack. At that time the Lodge had 55 members on its rolls and By the start of 1994 the lodge has 160 members throughout these United States.

       Fort Lewis was Named for one of the early explorers of the Pacific Northwest, and is located midway between Olympia And Tacoma on I-5. The surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic and rugged beauty, its terrain being forested with evergreen trees and expansive Prairies, traversed with roads and trails, interspersed with beautiful lakes and many steams for the fisherman, hunter and hiker alike.
