	Back to Guardian's Corner July 29, 2002 Hello everyone!! RECENT EVENTS . . . . . Last night Stacey, Jenna, Mom Mona, Dad James and I spent a few hours making candles and soaps for the Bethel to sell. We had a blast - - and made some really nice looking soaps and even packaged a few of them! ON TAP FOR THIS WEEK . . . . . This Saturday is . . . . CONCLAVE! You'll be meeting at the Hampton's house at 1 p.m on Saturday. Please pack LIGHTLY!!! Remember that your luggage has to fit in cars - not charter buses! As promised, here's your pack list . . . . . nice, appropriate dress for the dinner/banquet nice, casual attire for the dance towel/washcloth pillow/blanket/sheets toiletries medicines, if you take any appropriate shoes for your outfits Everyone will be leaving on Sunday morning - - and they will call when they are about an hour from home and they'll tell you where to meet them. Please remember, as you are picking clothes for this weekend, that you are representing the Bethel. Please pick outfits that are Jobie appropriate. When you dress inappropriately, you send a message to other people about yourself, the Bethel and Job's Daughters as a whole. We don't want to send the the wrong message. This same attitude should be followed when you are on the dance floor. Please do not dance inappropriately. Above all remember to have respect for yourself, your Bethel and the organization to which you belong. On a totally different note, many of you have not paid for Conclave. I have paid for Conclave out of my personal funds and need to be repaid ASAP. You are welcome to send me a check in the mail for $40 per daughter. If you need my address, please send me an email and I'll be glad to email my address to you. WEDDING . . . . . The wedding is less than two weeks away and many of you have asked one question: What should I wear? Should I wear a semi-formal or formal? My answer to that is: Wear a nice dress - - something that you would wear to church. And please, no flip flops. You're welcome to wear a semi-formal, if you wish, but you would probably be more comfortable in a nice dress. COMING SOON . . . . There's not much going on in the month of August!! Here are the dates for the month: August 10 - - wedding at 2 p.m. at the Messiah United Methodist Church. Reception to follow at the Sheraton Crystal City. There will not be a Bethel Guardian's Corner the week of August 12-17, as Dad James and I will be on our honeymoon. The Guardian's Corner will resume upon our return. I will post all the information for two weeks on next week's Guardian's Corner. Calling will be VERY important during the absence of the Guardian's Corner. . .
