BUILDING PRESERVATION FUND
THE
SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE CATHEDRAL IS ONE OF THE
MOST MAGNIFICENT STRUCTURES IN SHREVEPORT. ON
SEPTEMBER 11, 1986, IT WAS APPROVED TO BE INCLUDED
ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS. NO
DETAIL WAS SPARED DURING ITS DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCTION. AS WITH ALL AGING BUILDINGS,
MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED TO PRESERVE THIS SPLENDID
WORK OF ARCHITECTURE AND ART. TO ASSIST IN THIS
ENDEAVOR, THE BUILDING PRESERVATION FUND WAS
ESTABLISHED IN 2002.
OUR BUILDING IS OWNED BY THE
SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE FOUNDATION, INC. SINCE THE
IRS HAS GRANTED THE FOUNDATION 501 (c) (3) STATUS,
CONTRIBUTIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE. CHECKS CAN BE
MADE OUT TO THE SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE FOUNDATION,
INC. AND SENT TO OUR ADDRESS, 725 COTTON STREET,
SHREVEPORT, LA 71101. THROUGH THIS FOUNDATION, WE
ARE STRIVING TO PRESERVE THE MAJESTY AND GRANDEUR OF
THE SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE CATHEDRAL FOR MANY
GENERATIONS TO COME.
