About Monticello Lodge
Monticello Lodge No. 16 was founded in 1857
just up the banks from the Mighty Mississippi River. The lodge
has always been historically small with a strong charity
presence in the small city of Monticello, Minnesota (pop.
12,759). The first lodge building was located on main street or
Broadway. After a fire approximately 125 years ago, our current
building on West Broadway was built and the Lodge has been
residing there every since. The lodge used to manage a
cementary along the river but that was donated away
approximately 30 years ago. There are currently two collected
history books, unpublished for the lodge.
