Greetings from the East
I want to take this time to thank all those who stepped up to the plate and helped out when we needed it. Our fund raising efforts have succeeded beyond our expectations. In order for us to continue we need the support of all the Brothers, not just a few.
We plan to have a good time this year encouraging our young Brothers and our families to join in our activities.
Thank you for the confidence you have shown and for all the help you have given.
So what are we planning this year? We have set up several committees, which will help us obtain our lofty goals:
1. ACTIVITIES THAT THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN ENJOY.
2. ENSURE OUR FUNDRAISING EVENTS REMAIN SUCCESSFUL.
4. SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHMENT-BRING BACK OUR TRADITON OF COMMUNITY SERVICE
5. MASONIC OPEN HOUSE-A CHANCE TO INTEGRATE THE MASONIC ID PROGRAM SERVICE, WITH PUBLIC EXPOSURE OF OUR LODGE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
6. RUSTY NAIL NIGHT-A CHANCE TO REFRESH YOUR MASONIC KNOWLEDGE, AND RESTABLISH YOUR LINK WITH YOUR LODGE
We will be focusing on our ritual, and raise as many new canidates as we can this year. Our Lodge will once again set the example for outstanding ritual work.
We will not sit by, and just work with the brothers who show up. This year I will be calling, or writing with a specific area we need help in. I don’t know how many times I sat with my head in my hands, wondering why our attendance was so low at meetings. This year we will work through committees, and the strengths of our Brothers.
I want to share my confidence that I have in my officers this year. I look forward seeing our officers mature, and readying them to take their chairs next year. It has been an honor to serve this Lodge. I use to believe in the saying, “build it, they will come”. What I have learned is that a successful Worshipful Master lays out his plans, finds capable brothers, and lines up, and directs the talent to achieve the goal.
