  • The first lodge jewels were purchased from William Savage, Co. Columbus, Ohio for $35.00
1866
  • Paid $43.25 for 47 yards of carpet
  • Paid $12.72 for wallpaper and shades
1867
  • Paid $8.65 for candles, coal and sundries
1869
  • Paid 50 cents for coal oil
  • Paid $2.20 for candles
1871
  • Paid $3.25 for making aprons and a stepladder
  • Paid $4.25 for 5 cans of oysters for installation of officers
  • Paid $1.00 for one load of wood
  • Paid $1.20 for 3 pints of alcohol
1873
  • Paid $3.00 for lamps
  • Paid $6.25 for spittoons, candles and oil
  • Paid $1.50 fee for keeping horses for installing officers
  • Tyler purchased three cords of wood and placed in the preparation room at a cost of $5.50
  • Lodge Hall insured with Knox Mutual Fire Ins. Co. for 5 years at a cost of $8.35
1887
  • Paid $124.34 for a new roof on hall
1898
  • Altar purchased and presented to the lodge by O. E. S. (May be the same one in use in the East.)
1899
  • Members of Urania Lodge traveled to Hiram Lodge #18, Delaware, Ohio for the ceremonies of laying cornerstone for their new temple. Urania was the only lodge taking a band with them. The cost was $20.00
  • Orders from Chief Inspector J. W. Knaub to install Rogers Iron Works, Springfield, Ohio, completed a fire escape at a cost of $55.00.
1909
  • By-laws amended changing meetings from Wednesday
    on or before the full moon to the first and third Wednesday of each month.
  • Arch in the east installed at a cost of $61.67.
1916
  • Paid Howland Co. $193.35 for lodge room carpet.
1921
  • Hall closed for repairs and redecorating at a cost of $507.49. Details not recorded.
1928
  • The lodge cashed a treasury certificate receiving a check for $300.00. The Plain City Home and Savings not needing money refused the same and it was placed in savings at the First State Bank. This check when sent by the bank through the mails was lost and was replaced by the bank with a $300.00 bond.
    • The lodge purchased the following items:
      • 7 dozen bowls @ $2.30
      • 7 fruit plates @ $.86
      • 6 creamers @ $.33
      • 4 pitchers @ $2.59
      • emblem engraved @ $14.45
      • 7 dozen forks @ $19.25
      • 7 dozen spoons @ $7.00
      • Total of $90.73
    1938
    • The idea of giving Bibles to the newly raised masons was the idea of the Worshipful Master, Bro. Cecil Converse.
    • This was the first year the lodge gave Past Master pins to the Retiring Master.
    1945
    • Robes cleaned at a cost of $30.00
    1963
    • On the 8th of July a special meeting was called for the purpose of conferring on site the F. C. and M. M. Degrees upon Bro. Walter Fry. The brethren of Urania Lodge performed the degree work and it was explained by R. W. Bro. Humphreys. This is the only time this ceremony has been performed in this or any lodge in the area.

    • Carpet for the anteroom and preparation room $563.00
    1975
    • 48 chairs and 8 dining tables purchased $735.57
    • Microphones and audio system donated and installed by Bro. O. William Cooper.
    • New officer jewels donated by East Shore Lodge #709, Cleveland, Ohio and presented by W. M. Bro. Robert H. Dull.
    • Paid $877.00 to Imperial Maintenance Co., Delaware, Ohio for repairing building stucco, repairing and coating the roof of lodge temple.
    • Old Masonic sign repaired at cost of $150.00
    1976
    • Roof installed on the section in rear of temple to be used as a kitchen in the future. Labor done by brethren of the lodge.
