January 2008 ...Excellent news in that W.Bro Ken was back in the lodge looking well enough to come to the meeting and stay the night. Good to see you back Ken

More sad news in that W.Bro Ken suffered a stroke in early November 2007 and was unable to take the Installation. Good news is that Ken is improving and we hope to see him back in the lodge soon. The Installation went very well. Congratulations are due to the WM on the birth of his daughter Josephine Louise eight days prior to the installation!

Extremely sad news ........ our IPM Peter M passed away after suffering a heart attack on 6th April 2006. Our thoughts are with his family.

Easter 2004 members of the lodge and there wives had a famntastic visit to Londonderry where we were hosted by a GLI lodge. Fantastic weekend.

Bro Tom Vincze of Faithful Brethren Lodge, Grand Lodge of Canada in Ontario visited in May.

September 2003 Our big night was of course the visit from the USA of 20 masons who put on a fantastic 3rd degree for us, all those who witnessed this degree will remember it for a long, long time.

March/May 2003 meetings: First we had a brother from Ohio USA and then a party of 45 from just outside Derry in Northern Ireland.

W Bro Jack Irvine died Tuesday 30th July 2002. Lodge Temperance was well represented at W.Bro Jack's Funeral, which took place on 7th August. Jack was a faithful member of the lodge and will be sadly missed.

28/5/02 Funeral of W.Bro George MacDonald. Bro George was formerly the Organist at Lodge Temperance. LT was represented at the funeral.

Well the big news has to be this website. This is only the third LODGE in the Province of Northumberland to have a website. We were preceded by Legion Lodge and St Thomas' Lodge. The Masonic Hall at Throckley is also on the net but of course this is not a single lodge website. I have put this site onto Freemasonry.com so we should be getting a few visitors from that and I have also submitted the site to Yahoo Freemasonry.

In January our candidate was put through his degree by the Provincial Support Team, who did their usual interpretation of a Third Degree.
