Pancake Breakfast this Saturday 1/30/2016 in conjunction with Colton's
Winterfest. The breakfast is at our Lodge starting at 7:00am.
We hope to see some brothers and their families. Any help would be

It's that time of year
again to get out and help to fill Camp
Turk. At your monthly meetings, make sure you are mentioning
the camp. If there is an event that you could speak at make sure
you do so. If there is any written publications, email lists, websites
or other places you can share this information in your area, please do
Registration for the
2015 Camp Turk season opened up
on January 13th (one week ago) and we already have 122 campers registered.
This year campers will have the option to attend one, two or three weeks.
Campers are now allowed to choose which week(s) they attend. The
cost for camp is $500.00 per week.

in registering (or know a family member or friend that is interested) you
will need to visit our website at www.campturk.org Remember, camp
is open to ALL children 8 to 16 years of age.
Turk offers a scholarship program for families in need of financial
assistance. Please contact us at the below # or email to receive

STUDENT RECEIVES MASONIC SCHOLARSHIP
Alex Hammond of Waddington
recently received a scholarship from the Grand Lodge and Trustees of Free
and Accepted Masons of the State of New York and is shown accepting the
scholarship from Jeffery M. Williamson, Deputy Grand Master on the right
; and William J. Thomas, Grand Master on the left. In the New York
Masonic Education Assistance Program, qualifying children, grandchildren
and widows of Masons are eligible to receive assistance. This year,
the Grand Lodge and Trustees provided 586 scholarships, amounting to nearly
one half million dollars, to worthy students. Grants totaling more
than 10 million dollars have been awarded to more than 10,000 students
since the program began eighteen years ago.
Tracy a member of Wildwood Masonic Lodge, Edwards,N.Y. recently presented
a check in the amount of $300- for the Edwards Food Pantry. Receiving the
check is Charlotte Dean. This donation is from the St. Lawrence Masonic
Charities who are proud to donate to this worthy cause.
Heidenreich, a member of High Falls Masonic Lodge in Colton, N.Y. recently
presented a check in the amount of $300- to the Colton Food Pantry. Receiving
the check is Ally Korony, Director of CPP Neighborhood Centers. St. Lawrence
Masonic Charities is proud to present this check for all the work the Neighborhood
Centers do for families in need, especially at this time of year.
Lawrence Masonic Charities recently donated $300 to the Massena Salvation
Army. Masonic Charities is comprised of the 12 Masonic Lodges throughout
St. Lawrence County, with the mission of donating to local worthy charitable
causes. The funding comes from their annual fruit sales, citrus
in winter and apples in the fall. Several Masons also donate their
time to bell-ringing for the Salvation Army during the holidays.

Safety ID Event
Masonic Lodge No 393 held a Safety Identification Event at Madrid-Waddington
Central Schools. Participating students received a packet containing
a CD with their photos, fingerprints, and personal information to be kept
by their family. This information can be given to authorities to
quickly aid in the safe recovery should the student would become lost or
missing. St. Lawrence County Masons have been providing this service free
of charge for over 20 years. Several events are scheduled throughout

8th. Brothers from all six 2nd St. Lawrence District Lodges participated.

Masonic Guitar Proceeds Donated
Masonic Lodge Receives Donation of $3500 towards the Masonic Brotherhood
Fund from David Nichols, owner of Custom Pearl Inlay. Recently, Past Master
of Waddington Masonic Lodge, David Nichols built a custom guitar inlayed
with Masonic Fraternal Insignias. 2 days after completing the project the
guitar was bought by Brother John Buchanan of Fort Covington Lodge. Brother
Nichols subsequently donated the proceeds of the sale to the Masonic Brotherhood
Fund on behalf of Waddington Masonic Lodge.

Bro. Richard W. Miller was nominated to receive the Meritorious
Service Award (red hat) at this years Council of Deliberation meeting held
in Syracuse this past July. He was to receive this honor at the 2012 COD

(white hat) at this years Supreme Council meeting in Chicago this past
August. He will be Coronet-ed in August 2012 in Cleavland.
Robert Tyrell and Bro. Richard Powell of the Valley of Syracuse as well

Valley of Norwood received recognition at COD for being one of only a few
valley's in the entire Northern Jurisdiction with positive membership growth.

The Massena Shrine
Club’s “Ups and Downs” Parade Unit and their Ladies traveled
to the Montreal Shriner’s Hospital for Children on September 14, 2011 to
present Dr. Robert Drummond, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Montreal
Shriner’s Hospital for Children, with a check for $10,000. The money was
raised by the “Ups and Downs” Parade Unit by participating in parades throughout
the summer, through can pull tabs saved by elementary schools, by being
the beneficiary of the NYS Correction Officer’s Union Donations and also
through donations provided by the Massena Motor Cycle Club and the Ogdensburg
Motor Cycle Clubs. This donation was earmarked for research to benefit
a recent Masonic Awards evening at Amber
Lodge 395 Free and Accepted Masons located in Parishville, N.Y.,
NYS Grand Lodge pins and certificates were presented for 50 and 55 year
