Ladies' Night

Every year the Master of the Lodge holds a black tie, dinner dance, function to thank the brethren's partners and wives for their forbearance while we disappeared to our meetings throughout the year. Last years ruling master, W/Bro. Steve WALL, and his good lady wife, Karen, held their Ladies' Night at the Swallow Churchgate Manor Hotel, Churchgate Street, Old Harlow, Essex in May 2010. It was a great evening and we filled every available seat in the room.

This year our current Master, W/Bro. Keva SHEPHEARD, and his partner, JAnette PICARDO hold theirs at the Tudor Park, Marriott Hotel, Maidstone, Kent on:

It's an ideal opportunity for non-masonic friends and family to see how we manage to have fun and raise some further money for charity at the same time.

Spero Wives & Girlfriends (or SWAGS for short)

As members of the Lodge we meet each other regularly and share in the enjoyment we derive from each others company. Not to be outdone, in 2007, some of our wives, partners/girlfriends decided that one Ladies Night a year wasn't enough and they started to meet for a meal and a pleasant night out. They seem to be enjoying their 'meetings' as much as we enjoy ours!

Spero Lodge v Warner Lodge Annual Golf Day

Warner Lodge is our Mother Lodge and on 19th September 2008 we held the second inter-lodge golf competition. It was a good day out, in good company and the weather was very kind to us.

We're lucky to have a few members who can play golf and I'm pleased to report that, with those few carrying the rest of the team, Spero managed to win the day.
