LOCAL MASONS ARE HONORED
8 ELEVATED TO KNIGHTS COMMANDER, COURT OF HONOR
INFORMATION HAS JUST BEEN RECEIVED IN SHREVEPORT TO THE EFFECT THAT THE SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE ANCIENT AND ACCEPTED SCOTTISH RITE, NOW SETTING AT WASHINGTON HAS HONORED EIGHT SHREVEPORT MASONS, ELEVATING THEM FROM THE 32 DEGREE TO KNIGHTS COMMANDER COURT OF HONOR.
THE RECIPIENTS OF THE HONOR ARE THOMAS B. CHASE, HENRY L. DILLON, OSCAR I. MOORE, JAMES H. ROWLAND, TILEY H. SCOVELL, SETH E. THOMAS, HARRY M. WEIL AND OLIVER A. WRIGHT.
THE DEGREE IS GIVEN IN APPRECIATION OF VALUABLE SERVICE AND CAN NEVER BE SOLICITED, AND FRIENDS OF THESE GENTLEMEN ARE REJOICING AT THEIR GOOD FORTUNE, NOT ONLY FOR THE INDIVIDUAL, BUT FOR THE FRATERNITY AT LARGE.
