50-YEAR AWARDS PRESENTATION
ON BEHALF OF ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE, M:W: BALLARD SMITH, PAST GRAND MASTER, 1999, PROUDLY PRESENTED THIS YEAR’S 50-YEAR SERVICE AWARDS DURING AN OPEN MEETING ON NOVEMBER 8, 2005. THE AWARD CONSISTED OF A CERTIFICATE AND A LAPEL PIN. BROTHERS CLARENCE CLEVELAND NICHOLAS, 32°, JOHN WAYNE SNIPE, 32° AND JULIUS ELLIS WINDHAM, 32° WERE PRESENT TO RECEIVE THEIR AWARDS. BROTHERS NOT PRESENT TO RECEIVE THEIR AWARDS WERE KENDALL PIXLEY BERRY, 32°, GUY EARL HUMPHRIES, 32°, SAM BONNY KERSH, JR., 32°, MORTON HAROLD KINZLER, 32°, GORDON MAURICE LeBLANCE, 32°, ROBERT ALLEN MACKEY, 32°, DAVID ELBERT REDDELL, 32° AND ARTHUR CLIFFORD STAMFEL, 32°. FIFTY YEARS OF SERVICE IN THE SCOTTISH RITE IS A NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENT THAT FEW EVER ACHIEVE AND ONE THAT IS CERTAINLY WORTHY OF RECOGNITION. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE ABOVE!
During an open meeting, members and guests of the Shreveport Scottish Rite were treated with the harmonized voices of "Remember When" on Tuesday November 8, 2005. As always, their singing entertainment was a real treat to all in attendance. Their selections included favorite memorable oldies, patriotic songs and a few Christmas songs to start off the Holiday Season.
