CHARLES W. WATSON, 83, passed away Friday
February 26, 2010.
Charles was a retired engineer from KFC and
was a member of Harvey Brown Presbyterian
Church, former member of South Park Country
Club, ASHRAE, the Masonic Lodge, a graduate
of Manual High School (1944) and an active
member of the Alumni Assn., the University
of Louisville Speed School and Alumni Assn.
He also was a visiting teacher at Notre Dame
University and a Navy Veteran of World War
II.
He is preceded in death by his parents, D.C.
and Katie Watson; his first wife, Ruth; and
a brother and sister.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia L.
Nipper and Lisa Poston; wife, Marie Clark; a
brother, Paul R. Watson; seven
grandchildren; 10 ½ great-grandchildren;
four stepchildren; eight stepgrandchildren;
and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
The funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at J.
E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr., with
entombment in Resthaven Mausoleum.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may go to his grandson Charles
"Chip" Poston special needs trust fund in
care of Ratterman's.
