CHARLESTOWN - MARVIN V. OSBORNE, 82,
formerly of Louisville left this world into
God's comforting arms on May 7, 2010 with
his family and friends at his side at
Audubon Hospital.
He was born in Corbin, KY on May 10, 1927.
Marvin retired from General Electric after
34 years. He served his country in the
United States Army.
He was a dedicated member of Poplar Level
Church of God in Louisville. He was a 50
year member of the Masonic Fraternity, a 32
degree Mason, a member of Robinson Lodge
#266, member of Scottish Rite Valley of
Louisville.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 29
years, Pauline Osborne.
He is survived by his children, Rita
Thompson (David), Clarksville, IN, Libby
Smith (Michael), Chino Hills, CA, Donna
James (Dan), Charlestown, Marvin Wayne
Osborne, Dallas, TX, Susie Bingham
(Michael), Hanover, IN, and Sandy Smith
(Larry), Wichita, KS; and his grandchildren,
Matthew Smith, Allison Smith, Dustin James,
Stephanie Bingham, Travis Osborne, Nathan
Smith, Derrick Smith, and Joy Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday
at 11 a.m. at the Grayson Funeral Home in
Charlestown with burial to follow in
Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be
on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Wednesday
beginning at 9 a.m. Masonic services will be
held on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
