HAROLD FREDDIE MARCUM, 80, died January 13,
2011 at Kindred Hospital, Louisville, after
a long illness.
He was a retired auto technician. He was a
member of the Epworth United Methodist
Church, The Robinson Lodge F&AM, The
Scottish Rite, Falls City Model A Club and
was a KY Colonel.
He enjoyed restoring antique cars, being
involved in parades and club activities,
also traveling the country and spending
winters in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father and
mother, Fred Marcum and Lura Ford Beams
Marcum; and brothers, Harvey, Hubert and
Bobbie Marcum.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gale
Scroggy Marcum; sisters, Allene Mangum, of
Marietta, GA and Barbara Jackson,
Louisville; brothers, Donald Marcum,
Seymour, IN and Billy Marcum, Louisville;
several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January
22, 2011 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie
Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial
Gardens West. Visitation will be Friday,
January 21, 2011 from 1 8 p.m. with a
Masonic service following, and after 10 a.m.
Saturday at the funeral home.
