EATON, BOBBY D., 82, of Shelbyville,
formerly of Louisville, passed away June 13,
2012 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
He was born on June 27, 1929 in Tracy, KY to
the late Floyd and Eva Todd Eaton. He was a
retired police officer with the Louisville
Metro Police Department. He was a member of
First Baptist Church in Shelbyville and a
long time member of Melbourne Heights
Baptist Church. He was a member of Robinson
Lodge #266 and a 32nd Degree Mason.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded
in death by his wife, Wanda Eaton; and a
sister, Betty Ritter.
He is survived by his three daughters, Eva
(Jeff) Bentley, Beverly (John) Smith, and
Belinda (Steve) Coulter; grandchildren,
Robert Marvin, Jason Glass, James Coulter,
Jared Bentley, Erin Bentley and Jordan
Bentley; five great-grandchildren; a
brother, Carl Eaton; and a sister, Nelda
Strode.
A celebration of his life will be conducted
Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Arch L.
Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with
private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on
Saturday at the funeral home and on Sunday
from 1 p.m. until service time.
