Wondrous Free, etc.) Mar. goes to NW corner and takes flag (W.M.
gives ***); S.D. and J.D. take rods and go to West (S.D. on N., J.D. on
S.) and stand in front of S.W. facing east; Mar. with flag goes to W.
and stands between them, directly in front of S.W. Then all three
advance to altar. |

It is not clear that this ceremony will be performed in the future; at
the Grand Annual Communication in 2002 November, the Grand Lodge
indicated that it was "not desirable" for the US Flag to be anywhere but
the East of the Lodge at any time, and thus cannot be presented with
ceremony in the form given above.
