FileZilla web site ftp995 web site

Overview:

FileZilla and ftp995 are both powerful FTP clients for Windows 9x, ME, NT4, 2000 and XP.  Both of these FTP clients share the same user interface.  FileZilla is free and available under the GNU General Public License (GPL).  The free version of ftp995 will display a sponsor page in your web browser each time you launch the software. If you would prefer not to see sponsor pages, you may purchase a license key for $9.95.

Initial Configuration Instructions:

  1. From the Menu bar, select File, then Site Manager, then New Site.
  2. Type a name for this site profile.  For example: MyLodge
  3. Enter the following values where indicated.

Host: ftp.mastermason.com
Port: 21
Logontype: Normal
User: <Your assigned User Name>
Password: <Your assigned Password>

  1. Click the Advanced... button and enter the following values.

Default local directory: <directory on your local PC that contains the web site pages, etc.>  For example: C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\My Documents\My Web Sites\YourDirectory\
Default remote directory: <leave blank>

You may have many different profiles defined under Site Manager.  For example, you may use FTP to manage web sites for your Lodge, an OES site, a Scottish Rite site, a Shrine Club site, and a site for your hobby interest.  The same steps as above would be used to configure these sites for FTP access.

Once configured, you can then simply select the site that you want to connect to from a drop-down list.  For more detailed information, refer to the online Help.
