Morocco Shriner Center and the Fernandina Shrine Club will be on parade in Fernandina Beach on March 18, 2006, at 11:00 AM. The 50th Annual parade begins at the Ballpark, behind Central Park, and will proceed west on Ash St., turn North on 2nd St. to Centre St., and East back to Central Park.
The Shriner parade will include all of your favorites including: Clowns, Go-Carts, Motorcycles, Bands, and your favorite cartoon characters as Morroco Shriners from throughout Northeast Florida will be on display for the enjoyment of parents and children of all ages.
At the conclusion of the parade, the FBSC will be selling their annual Bar-B-Que dinner until 5 PM at the Atlantic Elementary School across fromCentral Park. Bar- B-Qued pulled Chicken or pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, bread, and iced tea will be served at a low cost of $8.00. Dining inside the school cafeteria or take out is available.
FBSC will be serving Bar-B-Que take-out dinners Friday, March 18th by calling 261-3917 between 11 AM - 2 PM or by calling 261-8704 in advance to place your order. Take-out dinners on Friday will be served at Amelia Masonic Lodge located at 1101 South 14th St. across from Eight Flags Shopping Center.
All proceeds from the dinners support the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children. Children under the age of 18 with orthopaedic problems or burn injuries receive specialized medical care at no cost at Shriners Hospitals.
