Resolutions of Respect

 

“One by one they are drifting away

Over the breast of the silent sea,

One by one they were passing o’er

To the home prepared on the other shore”

 

In Memory of

 

Our Brethren Who Have Passed

 

“Well done good and faithful servant – Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”

 

            The Angel of Death has invaded the ranks of the Craft and summoned one of the true and faithful.  His passing leaves a pang of sorrow, and a feeling of sadness.  His voice will be heard no more around the alter of Masonry, but the noble example of his unselfish and devoted life will continue to live, to guide the footsteps and direct the conduct of many men.

 

                His achievements and sacrifices will live in the hearts of the Craft, and we shall think of him as living a beautiful, ascending and expanding life, made radiant by the lights of true fraternal love.

 

                Resolved, That Evergreen Lodge, No. 153, Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina, of Hampton, South Carolina, in testimony of our loss, be draped in mourning for the proper period and that we tender the family our deepest sympathy in their affliction, and that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family.
