Back to Guardian's Corner
March 18, 2002
Yesterday afternoon the Bethel participated in their Spring GV. In the
ceremony, they did opening and did a wonderful job too!! :-)
ON TAP FOR THIS WEEK.......
There are no activities for this week!
COMING SOON.....
On Wednesday, March 27 there will be a dinner at Collingwood for the Heroes
of '76. At the council meeting Kasey, Kori and Mom Lanham made the
obligation to attend the dinner on behalf of Bethel 22. If for any reason
you cannot attend, call Mom Melanie IMMEDIATELY.
A LOOK AHEAD......
Next week is Spring Break and the only activity is the one mentioned above.
Here are some dates for the week after:
-
April 3 - Line Officer/Council Meeting
- April 6 - - Spring Retreat
- April 7 - - Regular Bethel Meeting - - - Honoring Master Masons and Eastern
Star. Line Officers will be presenting their term projects at that meeting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS......
At yesterday's GV it was announced that the HQMCWA Ball has been postponed
until June 8 at 8 p.m. (This date does conflict with Bethel 1's
Installation.)
SUNSHINE......
Mom Connie, Grand Guardian of VA, was not present at the GV yesterday. Her
mother is in ICU and in critical condition. A card will be sent to Mom
Connie this week to let her know that the members of Bethel 22 are thinking
of her.
If there are any other sunshine needs, please let me know immediately.
SESSION.....
This is the Session information that has been made available to me this past
week:-
When: July 11-14, 2002
- Where: Ferrum College, Ferrum, VA
- Cost: $110 per person (if Bethel's registration is
postmarked by May 31) or $115 (if registration is postmarked after May 31,
2002)
I will be mailing out medical forms this week - - and they
MUST be returned to me by the next Bethel meeting, if you wish to attend
Session. Included with the medical forms will be a survey, which I would
like for the adults to fill out and return to me by the next Bethel meeting.
No money is due at that time.
The overall theme for Grand Session is: Celebration of
Spring. No additional information has been issued about the themes of
individual competitions nor has any information been issued about ANY of the
competitions. This will be given to you after I have received it.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK.......
"In the story of Job's suffering and loss of family and possessions, we are
impressed with the need of improving our times of prosperity with acts of
kindness toward our companions."
Have a wonderful week - - and enjoy your Spring Break!!! There will be NO
calling this week and next week. Calling and the Bethel Guardian's Corner
will return on April 1, 2002.
