I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday today!
RECENT EVENTS.....
- This past Saturday night was the Sweetheart Ball at the Kena Temple. I'm
told the girls had a good time.
- Last night, the Bethel initiated Margaret Conner into our Bethel. Welcome to
you and your family! We hope you have a wonderful time!
- Also last night, the Bethel had a slumber party. I'm sure, as I am writing
this, the girls are STILL sleeping.
ON TAP FOR THIS WEEK.....
-
This Wednesday night is the John Blair Lodge meeting at the Scottish Rite
Temple. You are to arrive at 5:30, dressed in a skirt/dress that is
fingertip length and make sure you have the appropriate shoes on. Flip-flops
will not be allowed. We will be serving the spaghetti dinner to the men
before their meeting. We will also attend the Youth Nite portion of their
meeting. After the youth nite portion is over, we are to clean up the
downstairs and set up the punch and cookies for the men. Remember, you are
to email me by Tuesday to tell me whether or not you are going.
-
This Saturday is going to be a busy day. We will meet at the Hampton's house
at 8:15 a.m. for the ritual competition. Make sure that your robes have
been washed and ironed - and that your hems/cords have been fixed. As a
reminder, you hem should be four inches and your robe should be three inches
from the floor. Your slip should be four to six inches from the floor.
Also, the area between your cord should be six inches. You MUST have a white
slip, white stockings, and white slippers. You should also have your
headbands - which will need to be ironed.
-
Also on Saturday, you should plan to be at the Temple at 3:30 (this is
different than what was said at the meeting.) Be dressed in a dress/skirt,
that is no shorter than fingertip length, and you should wear appropriate but
comfortable shoes. We are expected to set up a dinner for 120 people,
serve and clean up afterward. When we are an hour from finishing, you all
will be able to call home and arrange for rides home. YES, YOU WILL GET FED
DINNER WHILE YOU ARE THERE.
COMING SOON......
-
March 2 -- movie night the Hamptons. Time TBA.
- March 3 -- meeting honoring Mother Mick, the founder of Job's Daughters.
Refreshment theme: Birthday!
LINE OFFICER REMINDERS.....
The next council meeting is on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Mom Groner's house.
At that meeting you are to present your project ideas to the council. I will
be mailing a packet to you this week that will help you plan. When you are
thinking about your project, ask the other line officers what they are doing
- we don't to have 5 of the same projects - - as this can get rather dull.
Listed below are the types of projects you are responsible for.
- Honored Queen - - Educational and Promotional project
- Senior Princess - - Prospect Party
- Junior Princess - - Fundraising project (to help offset the cost
of Session)
- Guide - - Service Project
- Marshal - - Fundraising project (to help offset the cost of
Session)
Please having something written on paper for each of the council members so
that after your presentation, we have something to refer back to (there are 9
council members total and one deputy)

14th. We should be receiving information from the Grand Guardian in March
