Back to Guardian's Corner
December 17, 2001
I'd like to start out this edition of the Bethel Guardian's Corner with a
very special announcement: As many of you know, the Bethel set a goal
at the beginning of the term to work toward the Spirit Award. There were 7
categories that the Bethel had to earn points in. We could earn a minimum
of 1,000 points in order to earn the award. As of December 16, 2001 the
Bethel has 1,273 points. CONGRATULATIONS BETHEL 22 ON YOUR SPIRIT
AWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have worked very hard this term, and this award is proof of all your
hard work. On behalf of your council members, we are very proud of you!!
RECENT EVENTS......
On Saturday, December 15 the Bethel attended the John Blair Lodge
Installation. Dad Mertz was installed as the Worshipful Master and our
very own Dad James was installed as the Marshal. The Bethel presented Dad
Mertz with a poster, which had been signed by all the members of the Bethel
and many of the council members. Ladies, that gift meant a lot to Dad
Mertz. Almost all of our members were in attendance - which was absolutely
wonderful to see. A ball was held after the installation. Mom Mona, aka
Kid K, was our DJ. I believe everyone had a wonderful time!
On Sunday, December 16 the Bethel meeting honoring PHQs and Majority
Members. As we had 5 guests were in attendance, that were NOT on the Bethel
Guardian Council, the Bethel received 75 spirit points toward the Spirit
Award. At this meeting, elections for the next term were held. The results
are as follows:
- Honored Queen: Katie Kapoor
- Senior Princess: Brittany Goff, PHQ
- Junior Princess: Brittney Rockwell
- Guide: Meera Kapoor
- Marshal: Jenna Hampton
The Librarian read a special poem, entitled "S.T.A.C.E.Y" in honor of Stacey
Hampton, the Honored Queen. After the meeting, the council and daughters
had a Christmas party/social time. We discovered that Santa Claus had
visited our Bethel while were in our meeting! :o)
