John Franklin Fort was born on March 30, 1852. He was the 44th Governor of New Jersey serving from 1908 to 1911. Nephew of 23rd New Jersey Governor George Franklin Fort, and father of NJ Congressman William Franklin Fort. He was also a Federal Judge, U. S. District Court 1878-1886 and associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court 1900-07. Died November 17, 1920.
