He served as the Presiding Officer of all major Masonic bodies in New Jersey, as Most Illustrious Grand Master 1922, Grand Master 1923, Grand High Priest 1926, Right Eminent Grant Commander 1936, Deputy of the Scottish Rite 1925-53. He was awarded the Knight York Grand Cross of Honor with 4 quadrants in 1942.
