This template is good for a small portal. It has the Advancedtoc navigation.
Advancedtoc allows to split the navigation by adding a new page called:

category:Typetexthere

or

ruler:Enter a number here starting with 1

for example ruler:1

And add #cmsimple hide# to the new page. You can access them through the sitemap, not through the navigation.
