Grand Assembly 2005

The ref blows his whistle and in what seems like slow-motion, the kicker begins her approach to the football.  Whoosh!  The ball sails over the offensive line, caught by the Tenacious Turtles who easily ran it back for a touchdown! What a way to start off our "Kick Off to California Rainbow's Diamond Celebration" sessions!

While Tracy didn't have a Grandie this year, we were proud as punch of our district's Grandies - Shauntae Shorter, Grand Nature; Heather Caudle, Grand Fidelity; and Jolene Morris, GEC & Lecturer.  They all did a marvelous job serving California Rainbow this year and we're pleased to call them our own!

Grand Officers 2005-2006 "Passionate Panthers"
What our district lacks in numbers this year, we more than make up for in passion!  We're passionately supportive of our district's Grandies - Allison O'Hair, Grand Charity, and Jennifer Trumpp, Assistant Grand Editor.  We love being able to travel with them and hope to have a lot of fun this year!

Grand Choir
We were really proud of Desiree for singing her heart out in Grand Choir.  She looked fabulous and did a great job!

Grand Observers Helper
For the first time in years, because we didn't have a Grand Officer, we had a Grand Observers Helper.  We loved seeing Ashley F. down on the floor during their drill, but missed her in our assembly's seats as she was assigned to another section of the arena. 

Assistant to the Grand Musician
  We were shocked during the fall to learn that one of our very own, Christina, had been asked to serve as the Assistant to the Grand Musician.  While not a Grand Office, this is a huge honor for any girl in the state.  The Assistant serves as accompanist for Grand Choir and also plays during about half of escort.  We were so pleased for Christina and we know she had a blast serving California Rainbow in this way. 

All in all, Grand Assembly 2005 was a fun event for all the girls who went, filled with love and laughter and much time spent together enjoying each other's company.  It was a great bonding experience for us and we hope to make it just as fun again next year.  See you then!
