The plans for our Bingo night at the OES on March 17 had to be changed, and we will now be going to the OES Home for Bingo on Saturday, April 10, at 2:00 p.m. On March 17, some of our girls and Advisory Board members attended the Eastern Star Funeral Service and the Masonic Funeral Service for Dewey Embry, who had in years past served as a very devoted Advisor for our Assembly. We are sure he will be very much missed by all. It is planned to take the Pledge Class for bowling and pizza on Sunday, March 28, and we can only hope that our members can have the energy needed to get the high scores to compete with the Pledge girls! Kentucky Grand Assembly has now requested reservations for the Grand Officers' and Grand Representatives' Retreat to be held on Friday and Saturday, April 2nd and 3rd at the Howard Johnson's in Elizabethtown, KY. We have made reservations for a total of 12 (our 5 Grand Officers, 3 Grand Reps., 2 Jr. Grand Members, as well as myself and the Asst. Mother Advisor, Paula Wells). This Retreat is always eagerly anticipated, as the Grand Assembly packets are made available to the Mother Advisors for making the final plans and reservations for Grand Assembly, which this year will be June 18, 19, and 20, at the Executive Inn West. Just ask Mandy, as she has this counted down to the day and hour. On April 3rd we will again be having a Bake Sale while working at the Fish Fry, and invite you to either donate, or come to buy the wonderful baked goods. It seems that the customers are now expecting every Saturday to be able to buy dessert to follow eating that terrific Suburban fish. At our meeting on Monday, April 12, our Worthy Advisor, Lisa Sutton, has decided to make it a Friendship Meeting, and we will be inviting other Assemblies as our guests for that evening. Don't you just know that all these girls will have a lot to catch up on as to what has been going on with the different Assemblies! You are invited to attend the annual Church Service with our Rainbow Girls on Sunday, April 18, at Victory Memorial Baptist Church, as we will be meeting at the Lodge Hall at 10:15 a.m. that morning, and at 10:30 a.m. we will be walking to Church together to attend the 10:45 a.m. Service. After Church, we will return to the Lodge Hall to have a Family Potluck Dinner, and invite everyone to bring a covered dish that morning. The Assembly will provide the meat for the Dinner. As the Lodge is planning to attend the Bats' Game on Sunday, April 25, our members are looking forward to being involved with that activity also. As a last note, we continue to ask that you save the aluminum rings from soft drink cans and (Continued on page 10 see" give them")
