C. Dennis Robinson
Worshipful Brother DENNIS “DENNY” ROBINSON was born o November 16, 1951 in
Valparaiso IN. Worshipful Brother Robinson was raised a Master Mason on March
23, 1973 in Unity Lodge No 130 in Sioux Falls. W Brother Robinson took a Demit
from Unity Lodge No. 130 on 10-08-1976 and was admitted to Fortitude Lodge No.
73 of Salem, SD on 11-16-1976 and he served as Master of Fortitude Lodge No. 73
1979. He later demitted from there and was admitted to Resurgam Lodge No. 31 on
12-10-1984 . He was Master of Resurgam Lodge No. 31 in 1996-97 year. W Brother
Robinson has served as District Master for District No. 11 during the years from
1997 to 2000 and was Senior Grand Deacon in 2001 and Grand Tyler in 2002. W
Brother Robinson has served as the District Master for District No. 12 for the
past two years and is currently serving in that position. He is currently
serving as Chairman of the Membership Committee for the Grand Lodge and for the
Yankton Scottish Rite Valley
Worshipful Brother Robinson was State Master Counselor of DeMolay in 1970 and
was a recipient of the Chevallier Degree of DeMolay. This is the highest degree
they present.
Worshipful Brother Robinson is an active member of the Yankton Valley of the
Scottish Rite. He was elected Junior Warden of the Lodge of Perfection in 2003.
He is a 32º Scottish Rite member of KCCH. W Brother Robinson is an active member
of El Riad Shrine Temple and the Corn Palace Shrine Club. He has held several
offices in the El Riad Shrine including co-membership chairman 1999 and served
on the appointed & Elected Divan for 3years. He was El Riad Shriner of the year
1998 and Corn Palace Shriner of the year 1994. He served as Corn Palace Circus
Chairman 1984 & 1986 and President of the Corn Palace Shrine Club in 1988 &
1997. He was nominated by Bon Homme Lodge No. 101 and Resurgam Lodge No. 31.

Lamont C. Cain. Sr.
Worshipful Brother, Lamont C. Cain, Sr. was born April 15, 1942 at Palo Alto,
San Mateo County, California. He is a Life member of St. John’s Lodge No. 1 and
a member of Bon Homme Lodge No. 101 where he is presently serving as Junior
Warden. W Brother Cain was raised a Master Mason in St. John’s Lodge No. 1 on
August 8, 1978 and is a Past Master. He served as District Master of District –
12 for three years from mid 1989 through mid 1992. He has also served the Grand
Lodge as Fraternal Correspondent and has served two – Five year terms on the
Jurisprudence Committee. He is chairman of that committee this year. He served
for three years as Fraternal Correspondent for the Grand Lodge of South Dakota.
W Brother Cain is a member of Yankton Consistory where he received the 33º of
the Scottish Rite in 2002. He is presently serving on the Member Coordinating
Committee of the Yankton Valley Scottish Rite. He is a member of El Riad Shrine
Temple in Sioux Falls and the Lewis & Clark Shrine Club. W Brother Cain was
nominated by St John’s Lodge No. 1 and Jeptha Lodge No. 121

Leslie M. Spies, PGM
Most Worshipful Brother Leslie M. Spies was born January 16, 1934 in Pierce
County, Osmond, Nebraska. M.W. Brother Spies was raised a Master Mason on March
16, 1971, in Jeptha Lodge No. 121, of Hudson, SD. He served as Worshipful Master
of the Lodge on several occasions in 1976,1981, 1993-94 and 1995-96. He served
as Secretary for two years also. He is a Life Member of Jeptha Lodge No. 121.
M.W. Brother Spies served as District Master in 1982-83-84-85 and also in
1998-99, 1999-2000. He was appointed Grand Chaplain in 1985-86 and elected to
Junior Grand Warden in 1986-87. He progressed in the Grand Lodge Line and was
Grand Master of Masons in 1989-1990. MW Brother Spies has served two year as the
Grand Treasurer-Secretary of the Grand Lodge of South Dakota and is currently in
that position.
M.W. Brother Spies is active in the York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite of Yankton
where he is presently a 33° elect Scottish Rite Mason, Order of the Eastern Star
and a Noble of the El Riad Shrine Temple. He received the appointment of Grand
Representative to the Grand Lodge of Spain in 1985. He has served as Grand
Treasurer-Secretary for the last two years. He was nominated by Jeptha Lodge No.
121.

W. Milton Edney
Worshipful Brother W. Milton Edney was born December 20, 1925 at Cozad, NE
and is a Life Member of Huron Lodge No.26. He was raised a Master Mason on June
20, 1956 in Doland Lodge No. 142. He served as Huron Lodge’s Junior Warden,
Senior Warden, and Worshipful Master in the years 1991 through 1993. W Brother
Milt has served on the Board of Trustees for 6 years.
Worshipful Brother Edney is a Member of York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite, Yelduz
Shrine, Shrine Club, High -12 and DeMolay. He is a Life Member of the DeMolay
Alumni Association and served as the Grand Master of DeMolay Representative in
South Dakota for two years. He has held high offices in all of these Appendant
bodies including that of High Priest, Illustrious Master, Grand Commander of
Knights Templar of South Dakota in 1998-1999. He has also served as Chairman of
the James River Chapter DeMolay Advisory Council. W Brother Edney was nominated

James L. Hoy
Worshipful Brother James L. Hoy was born on February 22, 1961 in Sioux Falls,
South Dakota W Brother Hoy is a member of Minnehaha Lodge No. 5in Sioux Falls.
He was raised a Master Mason in Fort Pierre, South Dakota on May 13, 1995. He
served as Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, Senior Warden and Worshipful master of
Minnehaha Lodge No. 5 from 1997 to 2001. He is currently serving Minnehaha Lodge
No. 5 as Junior Deacon and Trustee.
On July 2, 2004 Worshipful Brother Hoy was appointed to fill a vacancy on the
Jurisprudence Committee created by the resignation of Worshipful Brother Marvin
K. Bailin effective June 30, 2003. W Brother Hoy is seeking election to complete
a five year term which will expire in June of 2006
Worshipful Brother Hoy is a member of the Sioux Falls Scottish Rite and the El
Riad Shrine. He is currently serving as Venerable Master of the Lodge of
Perfection, Chaplain of El Riad Shrine and Valley Representative to the Deputy
of the Supreme Council in South Dakota. W Brother Hoy was nominated by Minnehaha

Lee C. Schinkel,
Worshipful Brother Lee C. Schinkel was born 09-02-1943 in Aberdeen, South
Dakota.
W. Brother Schinkel is a dual member in Blue Lodge as he is currently a member
in Aberdeen No. 38 and Groton No. 65 where he was Initiated on 10-01-1964,
Passed on 01-25-1965 and Raised a Master Mason on 02-22-1965. W Brother Schinkel
has held Office in Groton No. 65 on numerous occasions including seven years as
Worshipful Master including the current year. He served as District Master from
1989 through 1991 and was Grand Chaplain in 1991-92. He belongs to the Grand
Lodge of Masonic Research and has served as Master He has also served as
President for the Masonic Veterans Association.
W. Brother Schinkel is a member of the York Rite Bodies in Aberdeen and Huron,
Scottish Rite Valley in Aberdeen, Yelduz Shrine, and the Order of the Eastern
Star. He has held numerous offices in these Bodies and is currently an elected
officer in the Consistory and Council of Kadosh, Aberdeen Valley, Scottish Rite.
W Brother Schinkel is a Past Associate Grand Guardian of Job’s Daughters and a
Chapter Dad in DeMolay He is currently Worthy Patron of Minerva Chapter No. 5

Larry N. Hornstra
Worshipful Brother Larry N. Hornstra was born on August 3, 1943 at Avon,
South Dakota. Worshipful Brother Hornstra was raised a Master Mason on April 1,
1969 in Arcania Lodge No. 97 in Armour. W Brother Hornstra has served as an
officer of Arcania Lodge No. 97 for many years including serving as Worshipful
Master for six Years. Senior Warden six times and Junior Warden fourtimes He has
served the Grand Lodge as District Master for nine years with his last term
2001-2002.
Worshipful Brother Hornstra is a member of the Scottish Rite Valley in Yankton,
The El Riad Shrine in Sioux Falls ands is a member of the Mitchell Hillbillies
Shrine Club in Mitchell. He is an active member of the Order of the Eastern
Star. He has served as Worthy Patron of Armour Star Chapter #64 for 28 years,
Served as grand Chaplain in 1999 and the Grand Representative of Massachusetts
near South Dakota 2002-2004. W Brother Hornstra was nominated by St. John’s
