Whitchurch Masons meet in the North Shropshire Masonic Rooms on Castle Hill - a converted church with a fine pipe organ.
DIRECTIONS TO WHITCHURCH:
FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST: Approaching Whitchurch as though from the A49 (Shrewsbury) or other main routes, reach a roundabout with exit to Whitchurch which has large decorative brick pillars on either side of the roundabout exit. Continue towards the town. Soon after entering the built-up area, turn left and follow this road straight down Dodington and Watergate to a mini-roundabout (the "Bullring"), which is at one end of the central pedestrian precinct. Straight ahead (between Colour Supplies & Ethel Austin) take a small road (Castle Hill) up the opposite hill. The Masonic Hall is the large church building with blue railings just a few yards up on the left. The car parks are either side of the road just a little way further up the hill.
FROM OTHER DIRECTIONS (or if you miss that left turn): Approach the town and take the turning towards the Town Centre next to a large Shell Garage. Turn right at the end of this short road, and you will be approaching the Bullring. Follow directions as given above.
This is not the easiest of places to find - or describe - but if you are lost, there is a main shopping street which runs down the town hill from the West End of the prominent St Alkmund's Church on the top of the hill. This road runs parallel to Castle Hill which is to your right as you come down the hill.
GOOD LUCK! N.B. - there is no phone at the Hall.
