Camden Missouri

Established 1925

Ray Lodge #223 is located in Camden Missouri on "T" highway, (old 210 Highway). The building was originally built by The Independent Order Of Odd Fellows in 1925, and was used for the town meeting place. The first occupant of the lower level of the building was The Bank of Camden which was the main financial center in the town. The Bank held the accounts for all of the local businesses including the coal mines. When the mines played out, and the businesses dwindled, the Bank  finally closed. The meeting hall upstairs was used by the Odd Fellows, The Masons, The Eastern Star, the Rebecca's, and any other group that needed a place to meet. Over time the population of Camden continued to fall, and The Odd Fellows joined with the Richmond Odd Fellows Lodge. The Masons, Ray Lodge #223 took over the building, and in the mid 1980s the Odd Fellows donated the building to the Masons.
