FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

I hope everyone is having a great summer, enjoying vacations, orjust kicking back, relaxing and enjoying life. I’m also

hoping that the officers had a little time to spend looking at their cipher book.

Now it’s time to kick it up a notch and get with the program for the second half of the year. Meaning ... it’s time for

Practice, Practice, and Practice which starts August 20, 2006 at 6:00 p.m.

If you were to ask any Master or Past Master, what gives you a good feeling in Lodge? I’m sure one of the top answers

would be a full lodge room. When the Master looks around the lodge room and finds all the seats on the side lines

occupied, it is a feeling like no other. It seems to work in a positive light, not just for the Master, but for everyone

involved. It has a calming affect that causes a more relaxed atmosphere. This in turn makes everything flow smoothly. I

believe that is called Peace and Harmony. Help, Aid, and Assist, also comes to mind for without all the help of the

brethren this would not be possible.

Another form of Help, Aid and Assist happens every 56 days in our Lodge. That would be the Blood Drive for the

American Red Cross. Our August Blood Drive seemed to do exceptionally well. The following is an email sent to

Worshipful Brother Hocknell from the Red Cross Manager:

The dedication and commitment of these brothers is outstanding!

I will again ask the Masters of the 21st Masonic District for their help. We will be marching in the Septemberfest Parade

on Saturday, September 9th. We will be meeting at Penn Bowl in the Acme Shopping Center on Rt. 49 in Pennsville at

9:45 am. Brethren, we need at least 25 people to march in the parade according to Masonic By-Law. We also have the

Masonic Trolley coming. If any of the older brethren wish to participate in the parade there are plenty of seats on the

trolley. Come on down and enjoy the day.

Brethren, please keep in mind on September 6th we will be voting on 4 new candidates assuming the votes go well. The

Entered Apprentice Degree will be held on the Third Wednesday of September which is September 20, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.

We will also be voting on whether or not to start a DeMolay Chapter in our Lodge. I’m looking forward to seeing

everyone again.
