EDUCATION & DISCUSSION

FORUM

Within our monthly Trestle Board is a section entitled Education and Discussion where you will find Masonic educational articles. As there is a vast library of Masonic related articles appearing on the world wide web, and space is limited in our print media, our goal in this section is to provide links to Masonic sites to enhance our education of and about masonry.

What you will see below is descriptive information about a site and a link to that site. You will also be provided with information as to the topics selected from that site and the operating programs required on your computer to view that link.

Efforts have been made to ensure that the content at each site below is in compliance with the Grand Lodge of the State of Florida. If you find that it is not, please let us know and we will remove it.

This page is entitled Education & Discussion, the links will provided you with educational sites, the discussion section is found within the Lodge in conversations about what you learn, your thoughts, and the exchange of ideas and information with your Brother Masons.

If you have a favorite Masonic Educational site you visit and would like to share with other Brothers of the Craft, let us know and we'll add it to our list.

We hope you find the information contain in this section informative and useful.

REMEMBER

"An Educated Mason Is A Dedicated Mason” and a dedicated Mason will ensure the perpetuation of our fraternity.

Masonic Education is an ongoing process whereby all Masons, throughout the world, further their knowledge about the Craft. It begins with education for candidates about the Three Symbolic Degrees, and it continues with instruction of Masonic history, tradition, philosophy, Masonic Law, Lodge administration, and procedures in the everyday management of the Lodges. My Brothers, the world over, you should have a working knowledge of these topics, not only as Lodge Officers, but as dedicated Masons. If not, now is the time to prepare yourself.

The following topics will direct you to courses of instruction and study guides offered by the Grand Lodge of Florida for Florida Masons.

Welcome to the personal web site of: M+W+Neil Neddermeyer, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Minnesota and currently The Grand Orator of the Grand Lodge of North Dakota. This web site is offered to assist Masonic Leaders in their efforts to lead and inspire the Craft.

Cinosam (Masonic spelled backwards) is an email letter that has been sent out to subscribers at least once per month since 1999. It contains Masonic biographies, histories, quotes, stories, poems, and more. You can access the Cinosam archives on this web page. You can also download PowerPoint presentations and Masonic ideas as well as view leadership videos. These offerings are updated frequently. The videos have been compressed for easy downloading but copies of them can be ordered from the Grand Lodge of Minnesota.

This website is dedicated to the rich history of freemasonry in music. Many composers have written songs and tunes for freemasonry, its various bodies and Masonic subjects. Also, many familiar hymns and other tunes have been officially or unofficially adopted by masons for use in the lodges and banquet halls of the fraternity.

This site attempts to offer a tempting bit of the music associated with freemasonry and information about Masonic composers, but it is not intended to be a complete list or source.

MASONIC WORLD

This site is for Master Masons or those interested in Freemasonry. In the education section Masonic World lists over 600 Masonic articles. They update the articles quarterly through their newsletter. In the Educational Center you will find information to guide you through your Masonic life.  How to use their page:  The best usage is to print the linked index page and check off the articles that you read.  Since they attempt to update each month you can print off the new articles as attachments (i.e. only printing those articles to attach to the larger list).

Welcome to Phoenixmasonry

ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FREEMASONRY AND ITS KINDRED SCIENCES, this site provides a encyclopedia of Free Masonry where you can look up words and their early definitions. Albert Mackey, MD. first published his encyclopedia many years ago, since that time the definitions and interpretations have undergone some changes. This site is provided as a reference site for your educational journey into Masonry.

This website was developed to deliver further Light in Freemasonry. While the origin dates of Freemasonry in Europe are unclear, for more than two hundred years Freemasonry has been documented as an integral and vital part of the American society, culture and history.  Our site is important to Phoenixmasons (e-Masons) and the general public, because it is a well-kept repository of our treasured Masonic heritage and humble origins.  Their Mission Statement fills many roles.  One goal, in the global world of the Internet, is to exhibit Masonic documents, lectures, and objects in a rich historical context that both educates and stimulates the traveler to continue and learn.  They hope to bring the past back to life; and incite a passion for learning.  They truly appreciate your visit and welcome you to download any portion of this site for your personal use as Masonic Research and Education material.
