Regular Meeting
January 9, 2001
The
O.C. Wilson Scottish Rite club met in regular communication at Fiddlestix
Restaurant on January 9, 2001 at 6:30 with the following in attendance:

- President J.R. Latta called the meeting to order.
- David Priest gave the invocation and Dick Furniss led
in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- President J.R. Latta welcomed our guests from the
Valley of Columbia, Brother Keith Neese 33°
S.G.I.G. and his wife & Brother G.W. Parker 32°
K.C.C.H. and his wife.
- Reports on our adopted programs were given. J.R. gave a general overview of what
our Language Disorders Clinic does.
He also spoke on the transportation programs we have in place for
dental visits for children and health care visits for veterans. J.R. had contacted John Grossmeyer at
Hannibal Regional Hospital to discuss the chances of getting a veterans
clinic in Hannibal.
- Our bylaws committee gave a report that stated that
they would have the bylaws to the point that we could vote on them at our
next regular meeting.
- Our old business was discussed. J.R. gave a report on the auction that
the Valley of Columbia had to benefit the Language Disorders Clinic. The Hannibal brethren had donated around
61 items, or 25 percent of the total items given.
- New business was discussed. O.C. Latta made a motion to have our regular meetings at
Fiddlestix Restaurant at 6:30 on the 2nd Tuesday of every
month. The motion was seconded by
David Priest and passed unanimously.
Jeff Asmussen asked that we take the time to contact the members of
the Far North Scottish Rite club and invite them to join our club. J.R. discussed the Shriner’s Screening
Clinic that is coming up in May.
He asked the Scottish Rite, as well as all other Masonic bodies, to
participate with their specific programs.
Brother Keith Neese took a few minutes to talk about the Language
Disorders Clinic and to thank the wives of the men that were members. He also reminded us about the Installation
of Officers at the Four Bodies Meeting in Columbia that Thursday night. G.W. Parker discussed the upcoming
K.C.C.H. and 33°
inductions going on in South Carolina this year. He also reminded us about the May 5th
Reunion. Treasurer David Priest
reminded everyone that the 2001 dues were due.
- David Priest moved that we adjourn the meeting and
Jeff Asmussen seconded. There
being no further business the meeting was closed.
