  3. President J.R. Latta welcomed our guests, G.W. Parker and his wife Connie.
  4. Reports on our adopted programs were given.  On March 10th there will be a Language Disorders Clinic Board meeting in Columbia.  They are currently having a logo contest to come up with a logo for the Language Disorders Clinic.  Both transportation projects are going well, no contacts have been made for transportation.
  5. Our By-laws committee gave their report.  At the current time they are going over three different sets of bylaws and should have something semi-final by our next meeting.
  6. No old business was discussed.
  7. Our new business was discussed.  Jeff Asmussen filled us in on a donation made by Edward Dent of the Country Butcher shop in Palmyra.  Mr. Dent donated 5000 beef sticks to use as a fund raising item.  Jeff agreed to sell the items in the Columbia region to keep from creating a conflict in Mr. Dent’s current market area.  G.W. Parker discussed the upcoming events in the Valley and brought to our attention the scholarships that are available through the Scottish Rite.  G.W. stated that there are 3-4 scholarships available to any senior in our Valley area that meets the criteria.  He also discussed the idea of having a Valley Tailgate Party with some of our brethren from the great state of Texas.  David Priest made a motion that we purchase a mail slot for the new office as a gift from the club.  It was seconded by O.C. and Dick and passed unanimously.   Dave also reminded everyone of the Order of the Past Masters that was created this year at Grand Lodge.  J.R. took a minute to go over some upcoming Shrine Club events.  He gave us dates and times for the Hospital Bus Trip, Paper Drive and the Hospital Screening Clinic.
  8. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
