From the East

Greetings Brethren,

My time is running short as your Worshipful Master, and I would like to thank all of the Brethren and Officers for a great year during my time in the East for all of their support and dedication they have given throughout the year. I couldn’t have it without you Brothers!

Just prior to our stated meeting in November, that evening we were able to welcome our newest member to Farmers Lodge. Brother Randy Jenkins received the Entered Apprentice Degree that evening, and received some very fine degree work from the Officers once again. Congratulations Brother, we look forward to you returning your examination soon! I would also like to Thank the Brothers who filled in for us that evening. WB Joe Jaynes from Hebron Lodge #116, who is also an Honorary Member of Farmers Lodge, filled in for us at Junior Warden for the evening for the degree work. WB Kory Weldy from Madison Lodge #221, and also an Honorary Member, filled in as Junior Steward, and also gave a very fine Apron Lecture. RWB Ross Barry, from Center Star #11 and an Honorary Member as well, gave the Charge, and filled in for us as Treasurer. Brother Josh Gray stepped in once again as Senior Deacon, and did a fantastic job for the Degree, as this was his first time doing so. We’ll look forward to you sitting in this chair all of next year Brother! WB Scott Harmon gave another very fine Lecture. Great job to all!

Our stated meeting was our Annual Meeting and Officer Elections. Brother Tony Willis was presented a Certificate of Achievement, for returning the Fellowcraft Charge in Open Lodge earlier in the year. Congratulations Brother, we look forward to you working on more! The special part of the evening, was not necessarily that of the officer elections, but that of practicing one of our Three Great Tenets of Freemasonry, that of Relief. Our Senior Deacon, Brother Steve Stover presented to the Lodge that evening a situation of a family in need of relief. The family’s Father had been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, and was confined to the hospital, and had two collapsed lungs. The rest of the family had to temporarily move in with other family, to cut down on any expenditures, as their income had now become limited, as well as climbing costs of medical care bills. The Lodge took in personal collections, as well as the Lodge chipping in funds, and we were able to assist the family by raising  $500.00 to assist them in their time of need. This my Brethren, is one of those things that make you proud to be a Mason. To be able to help someone in need, who might not otherwise receive assistance elsewhere, if not for all of us willing to come together for a very worthy cause. I commend you Brethren.

Elections were held and the following Brothers were elected to office as follows:

· Worshipful Master - Bro. Brett Fleming

· Senior Warden - Bro. Heath Moore

· Junior Warden - WB Jerry Richards

· Treasurer - Bro. Jerry Schwartzenberger

· Secretary - WB Garland Fleming

· Senior Deacon - Bro. Josh Gray

· Junior Deacon - Bro. Tony Willis

· Tyler - WB Scott Harmon

· Trustee - WB Adam Wilson

Upcoming dates were also announced (see Calendar)

Balloting was conducted on Mr. Christopher Harmon, and the Brethren had elected to confer the degree of Entered Apprentice on Mr. Harmon prior to our next stated meeting @ 6:30pm on Tuesday, December 1st.

From the Secretary:  Brethren, if you are reading this and have not yet sent in your yearly dues, they are now considered past due. Please don’t delay, and send in your dues as soon as possible. 2nd notices will be mailed out, and that will be additional costs that the Lodge will have to incur for stamps, that could be better be spent elsewhere as you can see above. Please contact the Secretary if you are having circumstances that are hindering you from paying your dues, and we may be able to assist you if necessary. We sure don’t want to lose a Brother for “Suspension of Non Payment of Dues”, if at all possible!

As always Brethren, please continue to keep our “Sick & Distressed” in your prayers.

Finally, Brethren, be ye all of one mind - live in peace; and may the God of love and peace delight to dwell with and bless us.  Amen

Sincerely & Fraternally,

Adam Wilson - Worshipful Master
