Cherokee Travels

On Thursday May 26, 2005, members of Cherokee Assembly paid a visit to
Woodstock Lodge No. 246 F. & A.M.
There they presented a Flag Program in honor of Memorial Day.
Thanks to Woodstock Lodge for the invitation and for an excellent meal.

On Thursday June 2, 2005, members of Cherokee Assembly paid a visit to
Marble Hill Chapter No. 448 OES for their Memorial Night.
The girls performed the Memorial Service in honor of the members of Marble Hill Chapter
who passed away during the 2004-2005 chapter year.
Thanks to Marble Hill Chapter for all their support of Cherokee Assembly.

On Tuesday July 5, 2005, members of Cherokee Assembly paid a visit to
Canton Chapter No. 135 Royal Arch Masons for Family Night.
Most Excellent Grand High Priest Hugh F. Watson was present and the Assembly presented a
Flag Program in honor of Independence Day.  All companions in attendance enjoyed the
program and seeing the girls.  Advisory Board Chairman Steve Harris is serving as
High Priest for Canton Chapter in 2005.

On Saturday July 30, 2005, members of Cherokee Assembly accompanied our own Jade Sperin,
Grand Representative to Tennessee, to Hill City Assembly No. 38 in Chattanooga for an
Official Visit of Mrs. Judy Fortenberry Supreme Inspector in Tennessee and
a visit of Miss Leslie Brown Grand Worthy Advisor.
and a visit of Mrs. Martha Johnson State Mother Advisor.
The folks in Tennessee welcomed us with the Southern Hospitality you would expect and everyone had a
great time.  Jade invited them all to visit Georgia and especially invited them to our Official Visit
on September 10.

On Saturday September 23, 2005, members of Cherokee Assembly were asked to present a program
at the Ninth District Masonic Convention held at Mt. Airy Georgia.
Doug McDonald, Sr. was the Worshipful Master for 2004-2005.

 

On Saturday October 15, 2005, Megan Jenks & Allysa Glover assisted Cumming Shrine Club with an
information booth at the 2005 Cumming Fair.  These girls did an excellent job informing everyone
about Rainbow and the Assembly plans to participate again next year.
