FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Proposed
Rules and
Regulations Change At the Lodge of Perfection meeting on February 11, 2008
approval was given to submit to the membership a proposed change to the Rules
and Regulations for the Valley of Cambridge.
The proposed change is to a portion of Article IX Section 2 to be amended
as follows: “The annual dues, exclusive of any assessments, Supreme
Council dues, per capita or any other additional charge, for the Lodge of
Perfection shall be fifteen dollars, the Council of Princes of
Jerusalem-ten dollars, the Chapter of Rose Croix-ten dollars, and the Guernsey
Consistory-ten dollars”. The
proposed change is in Italics and Bold in the preceding sentence.
This change has become necessary because of scheduled increases in per
capita for the Supreme Council.
Over a period of the next
six years Supreme Council’s per capita will be increased from $8.50 to $27.00
per member. In addition the Supreme
Council’s Dues will be identified as a separate item on the annual dues bill.
Presently Supreme Council per capita ($8.50) is a part of our Lodge of
Perfection dues which up to now has been $20.00.
The net effect for the Valley of Cambridge would be a $3.50 increase and
future Supreme Council Dues would show up as a separate item on the annual dues
bill. Life and Perpetual
members as of 12-31-2007 will not be affected by either of these changes,
Supreme Council or Valley of Cambridge, and will continue to receive no billing
for annual dues.
This proposed change will be voted on at the Lodge of Perfection meeting
on April 14, 2008 and if approved would go into effect with the dues billing for
2009 which will be mailed about October 1, 2008. For More Information Contact:
