| On April 18, 1998, A truly historic event in Illinois Freemasonry occurred. The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons of Illinois & The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Illinois signed the formal recognition documents. These two Masonic bodies are the only two Grand Lodges recognized as "Regular in Origin and Legitimate in Nature" by the Grand Lodge of England. |
