Ponoka is situated at the junction of Highways 2A and 53, just five kilometers east of Highway 2, Alberta’s main north-south highway corridor. This is about a half-hour drive north of Red Deer, and a one-hour drive (100 km) south of Edmonton on Highway 2, and two hours (200 kilometers) north of Calgary.
Both Calgary and Edmonton have excellent airports with important domestic and international flights. Greyhound Canada also provides regular bus service to the Town of Ponoka depot (5103 – 48 Avenue; 403-783-4275, or 800-661-8747 for after hours passenger information).
