Jackson, and I am certain the DDGL RWB David R. Patrick will also be in attendance. Due to some conflicts within the District RWB Jackson has had to cancel out his two previously schedule visits. It is always a great pleasure to welcome these distinguish guest to our lodge and receive them in do form. I am certain that he will give an update on this past year and a little information on some forth-coming events. Come out and say hello, for it is always a pleasure to form a grand reception line to welcome our guest.

APRIL 17, 2003
On this day the Judeo/Christian celebrate the Feast of the Passover. To the Jewish faith this day is significant to the painting of the doors while captive in Egypt. If you remember from the bible: this is where the Pharaoh had ordered that the first born male child be killed. Moses ordered that the Jewish community paint the arch of the doorway so that the angel of death would pass over their houses. In the Christian church the Disciples along with Christ had gathered to celebrate the Jewish feast (Commonly referred to as the Last Supper). Some Christian leaders use this date as the start of the Christian faith.

APRIL 20, 2003
Today is Easter Sunday so attend your house of worship and thank the Great Architect for his gift. While there say a prayer for our military personnel supporting “Operation Iraq”.

APRIL 24, 2003
Tonight as always the dinner will commence at 6:15pm, and retiring to the Lodge for a Stated Communication at 7:00pm. Tonight will be a special in that Charlie’s Angel Degree team will be present to confer the Third Degree on Brother Hal Cart. So why not come out enjoy ritual and good Fellowship. Who knows we may learn something! The meeting will be relatively short since no other work will be conducted to night.

APRIL 26, 2003
Today the lodge will provide a luncheon for both the Widows and wives of our Brethren. At this time the Master does not have a specific time and place for the luncheon. He is asking you to call him weekend of the 12th for time and place.

APRIL 27, 2003
Today your Brother Master Masons will gather at Shrine (Moolah) to enjoy Breakfast with the Grand Master, MRW Jimmie D. Lee of the Grand Lodge of Missouri. An ecumenical service at 8:15am and breakfast at 9:115am. The Master authorized the purchase of one table to be made available to those Brothers wishing to attend. The tables are setup for nine, so if you want free tickets come early. If you miss out the free tickets, they are $5.00 at the door. This is more of a social event where you have an opportunity to talk with brothers from other lodges.

RETROSPECT

MAR 13, 2003
Tonight the lodge will hold a regular stated communication with dinner at 6:15 pm, and Lodge to follow at 7:00 pm. Remember the meals that our Junior Warden is providing have been very good and with a good variety. If you don’t get enough it is your own fault. At this meeting the lodge provided its facilities and some of its talents to confer the first degree on Brother Frank Brigs of St. Louis Missouri Lodge #1. With the intending C2A class on March 27, they felt there would not be enough time to confer a degree within there own lodge. Doing the degree in Beacon lodge help provide points for the Master toward the Achievement Award.

MAR. 22, 2003
Today the brothers will gather at the Webster Groves Lodge for the purpose of putting on a Chance to Advance Class. Our lodge did have one participant in the class. Brother Michael Kemp was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason. The activities began at 7:30 am with registration and degree work starting at 9:00am. The Second degree was conferred first followed by lunch and then onto the third degree. The Job’s Daughters out of Fenton served lunch; it is always a pleasure to watch these young girls work with such enthusiasm. If you have never attended a C2A class you have missed some excellent degree work. This may not be like doing all of the work within the lodge, however when you have no choice this is an excellent way of doing degree work.

MAR 27, 2003
This will be a regular stated communication again with the meal being served at 6:30 pm, followed by Lodge commencing at 7:00 pm. Tonight was the Junior Wardens night in the East, Wor. Bro. Mark Sawyer did a good job. He did make a comment “that it has been a few years since he sat in the East”. A few members came out to help support him in his night in the East. Tonight’s meeting was relatively short except that a motion was made to provide financial help to a policeman who lost his wife, child, his house, and all of his personal belongings. Wor. Bro. Sawyer said the Charity Committee would investigate the policeman’s needs and to what degree of financial assistance would be provided.
