pleasure to welcome these distinguish guest to our lodge and receive
them in do form. I am certain that he will give an update on this
past year and a little information on some forth-coming events. Come
out and say hello, for it is always a pleasure to form a grand
reception line to welcome our guest.

On this day the Judeo/Christian celebrate the Feast of the Passover.
To the Jewish faith this day is significant to the painting of the
doors while captive in Egypt. If you remember from the bible: this
is where the Pharaoh had ordered that the first born male child be
killed. Moses ordered that the Jewish community paint the arch of
the doorway so that the angel of death would pass over their houses.
In the Christian church the Disciples along with Christ had gathered
to celebrate the Jewish feast (Commonly referred to as the Last
Supper). Some Christian leaders use this date as the start of the
Christian faith.

conducted to night.

RETROSPECT
MAR 13, 2003
Tonight the lodge will hold a regular stated communication with
dinner at 6:15 pm, and Lodge to follow at 7:00 pm. Remember the
meals that our Junior Warden is providing have been very good and
with a good variety. If you don’t get enough it is your own fault.
At this meeting the lodge provided its facilities and some of its
talents to confer the first degree on Brother Frank Brigs of St.
Louis Missouri Lodge #1. With the intending C2A class on March 27,
they felt there would not be enough time to confer a degree within
there own lodge. Doing the degree in Beacon lodge help provide
points for the Master toward the Achievement Award.
MAR. 22, 2003
Today the brothers will gather at the Webster Groves Lodge for the
purpose of putting on a Chance to Advance Class. Our lodge did have
one participant in the class. Brother Michael Kemp was raised to the
sublime degree of Master Mason. The activities began at 7:30 am with
registration and degree work starting at 9:00am. The Second degree
was conferred first followed by lunch and then onto the third
degree. The Job’s Daughters out of Fenton served lunch; it is always
a pleasure to watch these young girls work with such enthusiasm. If
you have never attended a C2A class you have missed some excellent
degree work. This may not be like doing all of the work within the
lodge, however when you have no choice this is an excellent way of
doing degree work.
MAR 27, 2003
This will be a regular stated communication again with the meal
being served at 6:30 pm, followed by Lodge commencing at 7:00 pm.
Tonight was the Junior Wardens night in the East, Wor. Bro. Mark
Sawyer did a good job. He did make a comment “that it has been a few
years since he sat in the East”. A few members came out to help
support him in his night in the East. Tonight’s meeting was
relatively short except that a motion was made to provide financial
help to a policeman who lost his wife, child, his house, and all of
his personal belongings. Wor. Bro. Sawyer said the Charity Committee
would investigate the policeman’s needs and to what degree of
financial assistance would be provided.
