Knight of the Brazen
Serpent
We
tackle here the concept of the pure, celestial, eternal soul of man.
It is a belief of great antiquity that the soul existed before union with
our bodies; else, argued most philosophers, how could the soul exist after
the body if it did not exist before and independent of the body.
Such was the teaching in the Mysteries. The serpent was regarded
with reverence in olden days as the author of the fate of souls.
