Robert C. “Bud” Cygan was born September 21, 1957 at Cleveland, Ohio. He attended the North Olmsted Schools, graduating in 1976. He went on to attend Lorain County Community College, graduating in 1980 with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. He married Shari G. Adams September 5, 1980 and they have two children: Ryan Chris (19) and Lauren Christine (17). He has been employed by Prudential Financial for the last 13 years as a registered representative in Insurance and Financial Services.

He was initiated, passed and raised at North Olmsted Lodge #741, all three degrees having been conferred by his father, Robert A. Cygan. He served that Lodge as Worshipful Master 2000-01 and has completed both Series IV and Series V Grand Lodge Training Classes. He was appointed District Deputy Grand Master October 18, 2003 by Most Worshipful Bro. Steven J. Krekus. He is a member of Scottish Rite – Valley of Cleveland and New Hope Chapter #590, OES (initiated by his parents Robert A, and Louise Cygan).

He participated in the 4/2002 and 3/2003 One Day Classes, having served as Worshipful Master in the first section of the Master Mason Degree.
