Founded in 1810, 117 has a distinguished history and is a member of the Atholl Association, signifying that it was created as an 'Antient' Lodge before the Unification of the English Grand Lodges in 1813. Today it meets in Shrewsbury, and is dedicated to the Masonic tenets of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth - in modern parlance, Fellowship, Charity and the pursuit of high ideals.
