MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY RESEARCH


District Twenty Tall Cedars and Cedarettes support the efforts of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for eradicating Muscular Dystrophy and Muscular Diseases by contributing funds for research through promotion of the Rose program, pan cake Breakfasts and many other activities.

Since 1951 The Tall cedars of Lebanon have supported this noble effort of helping those children that need it the most and have donated over $14, 000,000 to this most important cause.

The Members of District Twenty provide a cook out each year for the MD boys and girls on their first day at Camp Maria in Southern Maryland and co sponsor a Christmas party for them with the U., S. Air Force Honor Guard and MDA. Some Forests sponsor a boy or girl who is afflicted with this terrible disease and provide them with encouragement and some extra amenities
